At On the Way Moreton Bay Inc., we offer practical, compassionate support for people in our community who are experiencing hardship, isolation, homelessness, addiction, or mental health struggles.

We're here to help no red tape, no referral needed, and no judgement.

Community Soup Kitchen

Every Tuesday 5:00pm-6:30pm

Freshwater Anglican Church, 43 Park Road Deception Bay Queensland, 4508.

Our weekly sit-down meal offers:

Hot Meal.

Tea, coffee, and cold drinks.

Friendly faces and conversation.

A safe welcoming space for all.

Everyone welcome no questions asked.

Street Outreach

Our grassroots team reaches out to those sleeping rough or struggling in the community with:

Food (hot meals) and water packs.

Sleeping Bags, clothing, and care kits.

Friendly check ins and referrals to other services. We want to source a fully equipped outreach van with storage, supplies, and basic mobile support.

Clothing and Practical Support

We regularly distribute donated items, including:

Warm clothing, shoes and jackets.

Blankets and basic bedding.

Camping gear for people without housing.

Hygiene and sanitary items.

Extra Help (when available)

Haircuts (select Tuesday nights).

Camping gear and hygiene kits.

Referrals to housing, detox, mental health, and crisis support.

Lived Experience Peer Support

Many of our volunteers have lived through addiction, homelessness and mental health challenges. We offer a safe space to talk, share, and connect with people who genuinely understand.
